Our standard
We build and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That includes:
- Every page usable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link
- Text and interface colors that meet AA contrast ratios
- Form fields with visible labels and error messages that say what to fix
- Headings in a logical order, and tables with header rows, so screen readers can navigate them
- No content that flashes, and no motion that plays without your choice; we respect your system’s reduced-motion setting
- Pages that reflow at 400% zoom and on small screens without horizontal scrolling
Known limitations
Links to third-party documents, such as county PDFs in our guides, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard. If you need information from one of them in another format, ask and we will summarize it for you.
